Drafting, reviewing and management of your documentation
What is it
One of the most requested activities envisaged by the EPCI Business Lines is definitely the drafting, review and follow-up of all the documentation necessary for the development of each project/order.
We guarantee the utmost confidentiality in the handling of all documents to be processed, working in accordance with the current privacy regulations (REGULATION (EU) 2016/679, GDPR under Italian Law).
What it consists of
Our dedicated team is able to support customers during the drafting, control and review of technical documentation. We prevent, identify, and provide solutions to any issues that may arise, guaranteeing savings on resources so as to optimise document management timelines and finalise the project.
With regard to document monitoring and management activities, especially the management of complex projects from the point of view of the stack of documents involved, we adopt cutting-edge technological tools to create active “document registers”, which allow monitoring of the project life cycle and the response times of the parties involved. These registers are customisable to suit the needs of each individual customer and project.
Who is involved
All the document management, exchange and monitoring tools are managed by our group of Document Controllers, trained and instructed not only on the technical and management activities to be carried out but also on specific contract requests.
All technical resources involved in the issuing and control of technical documents have obtained high-profile personal qualifications (Level III. NDE, IWT, IWE, Nace/Frosio III).
The activities
Thanks to the expertise of our employees and an appropriate number of independent collaborators, we are able to provide the following services and activities:
Creation, approval review and follow-up of key quality documents (ITP, Welding Book, Construction Procedures, NDE Procedures, Test Procedures).
Creation of Manufacturer’s Data Books, both in electronic and printed formats, including the creation of indexes, covers, section and subsection separators, bookmarks.
Creation of Mechanical Data Books, both in electronic and printed formats, including the creation of indexes, covers, section and subsection separators, bookmarks.
Document Desk Expediting (see section of the presentation dedicated to expediting)
Creation of Erection, Installation, Maintenance Data Books, both in electronic and paper formats, including the creation of indexes, covers, section and subsection separators, bookmarks.
Verification of the Manufacturer's Data Books
Review of supplier technical documentation, and technical fact sheets to verify conformity with design specifications and national/international standards
In addition to these activities, our team is also able to provide other services, again strictly related to document management and verification, such as:
Expediting and reminders concerning sub-supplier index requests
Archiving of supplier dossiers once approved.
Supplier index checks, based on documents sent for issue during the request phase (ITP + specifications).
Supplier split books according to the sections envisaged by the final approved index.
Supplier Data Books based on the approved index and customer requests
Final PDF assembly including approved index, cover, separators, bookmarks.
Entry of any comments on PDF file (for both indexes and books) and forwarding to the supplier and/or customer.
If required, the final book can be prepared in a multiple file version, with the index (EXCEL or PDF) containing hyperlinks to open the relative files.
Final index drafting for approval (in EXCEL, WORD, PDF, in standard or customer-specific format), once all individual indexes of the suppliers involved have been approved or at least defined.
Material certificate verification (based on the MR + relative notes, MPS, ITP, project specifications).
